2.1 Content You Upload
When you upload photos or videos to YouSnaps, we collect and store that Content on our servers. This includes:
- The photo or video file itself
- File metadata (file name, size, format, dimensions)
- EXIF data embedded in images (which may include camera information, GPS location, date/time)
Note: We recommend removing sensitive metadata from your files before uploading. We may automatically strip certain metadata for privacy protection.

When you access our Service, we automatically collect certain information:

- Log Data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, referring URL
- Usage Information: How you interact with our Service

YouSnaps is designed for simplicity. We do NOT require or collect:

- Generate shareable links: Create unique URLs for your Content
- Optimize Content: Resize and compress images/videos for better performance
- Content Moderation: Detect and remove prohibited content using automated systems

- Compliance: Comply with legal obligations and respond to legal requests

4. Content Moderation and Analysis
To maintain a safe platform, we use automated systems to analyze uploaded Content for:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Nudity and sexually explicit content
- Violence and graphic content
- Hate symbols and extremist content
- Other prohibited content as outlined in our Content Policy
This analysis is performed automatically using machine learning systems. Content flagged by these systems may be reviewed by our trust and safety team. We generate and store cryptographic hashes of Content to detect duplicate uploads of prohibited material.

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

Content you upload and share via generated links is accessible to anyone with that link. There is no password protection or access control. Consider this before sharing sensitive Content.

We use third-party service providers for hosting, content delivery, analytics, and content moderation. These providers have access to your information only to perform services on our behalf and are obligated to protect your information.
6.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request. We may also disclose information to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or ensure user safety.
6.4 Reports to Authorities
We are legally required to report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). We may also report other illegal content to appropriate law enforcement agencies.
7. Data Retention
We retain your Content and associated data as follows:
- Active Content: Retained as long as it is being accessed
- Inactive Content: May be deleted after an extended period of inactivity
- Removed Content: Deleted from active systems but may be retained in backups temporarily
- Log Data: Typically retained for 90 days for security and analysis
- Legal Holds: Data subject to legal proceedings may be retained longer as required
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption at rest for stored data
- Access controls and authentication
- Regular security assessments

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
